I have found a new (to me) breakfast place. Great food, generous portions, reasonably priced and great service

EVERYTHING is homemade, truly homemade.

I’m not a WI native, and it thoroughly frustrated me that with all the Germans here, nowhere offered potato pancakes. YOU MUST try them if they have them as their special!!!!

I’m a big foodie. They have exceeded all hopes and expectations

The food here always tastes authentic. Not like processed or anything, just real, good food. Staff is always very friendly and helpful, and always make you feel like you're their friend. And their breakfast and lunch options are very wide and always taste good. I would definitely recommend this place and come here all the time.

While driving around Amherst and Stevens Point, WI we found little Iola. And boy are we glad we did!! The Crystal Cafe was a blast from the past..a four generation blast to be exact. The burgers were good burgers, but BETTER! Loaded fries are yummy and just greasy enough. Soup special was tomato/basil…perfect for dunking my grilled ham and cheese sammie. You can enjoy a beer/wine or have a cup of coffee. Prices are very affordable but the best of the menu are their award winning home baked pies. We took to go a piece of apple crisp and our friends got a big piece of coconut cream. The staff was so friendly and sweet. No problem tipping here. Saw some antique shops too but we were on a mission. You will enjoy every bite here!

Great food, Great service! Cute restaurant and pie to die for is their claim to Fame. They definitely live up to it! You must have pie when you eat here!

Excellent pies! Very busy little place on a Saturday afternoon. Cool old-school cafe style and wonderful service and people. Would come back here!

Good old-fashioned and well-maintained, with super sweet waitresses type of Cafe! If you want a blast from the past this is definitely the place to go but and the food is delicious! If you want pancakes and you arrive anytime after noon you will probably have to order French toast 🙂

I've only ever eaten choices from the lunch/dinner menu so I can't speak on the breakfast, but everything I've tried here has been fantastic. From the homemade cheese curds, the loaded fries, the wide varieties of burgers, and of course the pie -- it's all top notch. I make a point of taking the family here for my birthday meal every year.

Great place to eat. Food is excellent, homemade. Fabulous pies and desserts all made in house from scratch. Wonderful staff. Known for their pies.

I have been going to Crystal's for my entire life! I can't bare to go to Iola without making a stop. Our family favorites are the Chocolate-Peanut Butter Pie, Apple Crisp, and their Homemade Berry Jelly. The staff is always so sweet and service is great! They make you feel right at home. :-)

Very good food, loved the atmosphere and our waitress was terrific! She was prompt and had a great attitude, extremely bubbly and full of energy... it made for a fun experience.

Cally was an excellent waitress and so pleasant! The food was wonderful and in excellent portions for the price! I will stop by next time I am around Iola!

Classic American diner food. EVERYTHING is made from scratch (down to the jelly!) A little piece of America that hasn’t changed but still remains relevant. If this place hasn’t been visited by a Diners, Drive-in and Dives with a 5-star rating then they don’t know what they’re talking about. Destination spot for sure!!

I love this place! Great staff. Fantastic food! Portions are huge. You will definitely take a doggie bag home with you.

Best fish fry around! We had hand dipped beer battered Cod with hand-cut french fries. This was served with coleslaw, tartar sauce, and homemade rye bread. Which by the way the rye bread is awesome! And it came with a piece of fresh pie. Delicious!
