The food here always tastes authentic. Not like processed or anything, just real, good food. Staff is always very friendly and helpful, and always make you feel like you're their friend. And their... breakfast and lunch options are very wide and always taste good. I would definitely recommend this place and come here all the time.read more

While driving around Amherst and Stevens Point, WI we found little Iola. And boy are we glad we did!! The Crystal Cafe was a blast from the past..a four generation blast to be exact. The burgers were... good burgers, but BETTER! Loaded fries are yummy and just greasy enough. Soup special was tomato/basil…perfect for dunking my grilled ham and cheese sammie. You can enjoy a beer/wine or have a cup of coffee. Prices are very affordable but the best of the menu are their award winning home baked pies. We took to go a piece of apple crisp and our friends got a big piece of coconut cream. The staff was so friendly and sweet. No problem tipping here. Saw some antique shops too but we were on a mission. You will enjoy every bite here!read more

Good old-fashioned and well-maintained, with super sweet waitresses type of Cafe! If you want a blast from the past this is definitely the place to go but and the food is delicious! If you want... pancakes and you arrive anytime after noon you will probably have to order French toast 🙂read more

I've only ever eaten choices from the lunch/dinner menu so I can't speak on the breakfast, but everything I've tried here has been fantastic. From the homemade cheese curds, the loaded fries, the... wide varieties of burgers, and of course the pie -- it's all top notch. I make a point of taking the family here for my birthday meal every year.read more

I have been going to Crystal's for my entire life! I can't bare to go to Iola without making a stop. Our family favorites are the Chocolate-Peanut Butter Pie, Apple Crisp, and their Homemade Berry... Jelly. The staff is always so sweet and service is great! They make you feel right at home. :-)read more

Very good food, loved the atmosphere and our waitress was terrific! She was prompt and had a great attitude, extremely bubbly and full of energy... it made for a fun experience.

Classic American diner food. EVERYTHING is made from scratch (down to the jelly!) A little piece of America that hasn’t changed but still remains relevant. If this place hasn’t been visited by a... Diners, Drive-in and Dives with a 5-star rating then they don’t know what they’re talking about. Destination spot for sure!!read more

Best fish fry around! We had hand dipped beer battered Cod with hand-cut french fries. This was served with coleslaw, tartar sauce, and homemade rye bread. Which by the way the rye bread is awesome!... And it came with a piece of fresh pie. Delicious!read more
